NEW NAME FOR SCHOOL OPENING IN POINT COOK IN 2020

The Andrews Labor Government is giving the Point Cook community the chance to have their say on the name of a new government school opening next year.

Member for Altona District, Jill Hennessy, said the Victorian School Building Authority would consult with local communities on naming new schools currently under construction and set to open in 2020.

This will include a name for the new secondary school opening in Point Cook, which has been currently known as Point Cook South Senior Secondary College.

Community engagement will begin in Term 2, 2019, and people will be able to provide feedback across multiple channels such as online and social media.

The Labor Government is ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
